The Australian Women's Cricket Team was honoured by Governor-General David Hurley at Admiralty House on Friday following their Ashes triumph in the UK.

The @southernstars announced a 14-player squad for next month's Caribbean Tour, with an eye on the T20 World Cup on home soil in March.

"This year alone, 871 new girl's and women's teams took the field in Australia in cricket, and half a million girls and women making up a third of all cricketers in Australia ... and a lot of that goes to the group of young women who are standing in front of us today.
